Origins of the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeén
As mentioned earlier, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeén is a breed that originated in the rocky region of coastal France. Ever since the PBGV’s early existence, it has already built a reputation as an excellent hunter. It used to hunt hares and rabbits on the rocky coasts of France. Because the PBGV’s place of origin was a bit rough, other breeds may not be able to survive living there. Thanks to the PBGV’s substantial nature and tough body, it was able to live in a harsh environment and still dominate the hunting field.
